Dr. Mohan C. Joshi

Principal Investigator · Assistant Professor (UGC-FRP), MCARS, JMI

Dr. Joshi works at the intersection of molecular genetics and nanotechnology on the antimicrobial-resistance crisis — pairing new ways to treat resistant infection with new ways to detect it, grounded in the basic science of how bacterial genomes stay stable and how resistance evolves.

Dr. Joshi, thinking out loud

Short, plain-language notes triggered by real lab life — a new paper, a conference, a talk, a development in the field. Built up over time.

Trigger · a paper is accepted

On a new paper

What the lab just published and why it matters, without the jargon.

Trigger · back from a conference

From a conference

Two or three honest takeaways on where the field is moving.

Trigger · after a talk

After a talk

The core idea presented, with slides or abstract linked.

Trigger · news in the field

On the field

A considered take on a new finding in AMR, phage, or nanodiagnostics.

From a conference
May 2025
Three currents in phage therapy I brought home. Where clinical phage work is quietly maturing — and where the field still disagrees.
On a new paper
Mar 2025
Reading DNA damage without touching the genome. Our RecA-nanoconjugate approach, explained for a non-specialist.
On the field
Jan 2025
The AMR numbers that should reorder our priorities. What recent surveillance data changes for a lab like ours.

Entries shown are illustrative of the format — real posts will be added over time.
